Start this tour at beautiful Kings Park overlooking the Swan River and City of Perth. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Botanical Gardens with your guide, learning about the plants and wildlife from different parts of Western Australia.
A short drive to the Swan Valley and time permitting the opportunity to enjoy samples of local producers. Drive onto the Avon Valley to enjoy this tours highlight an Australian BBQ under the night sky. See the Milky Way, our neighbouring planets and Moon, hear the astrological stories of the dream time. Astro Binoculars are provided for you to see more of our galaxy and try your hand at Astro Photography.

Your tour starts with a visit to Kings Park is a 400.6-hectare park overlooking Perth Water and the central business district of Perth, Western Australia. The park is a mixture of grassed parkland, botanical gardens and natural bushland on Mount Eliza with two-thirds of the grounds conserved as native bushland. Offering panoramic views of the Swan River and Darling Range, it is home to over 324 native plant varieties, 215 known indigenous fungi species and 80 bird species. You will enjoy a leisurely guided walk through the botanical gardens.
The Swan Valley is a region in the upper reaches of the Swan River between Guildford and Bells Rapids, Visiting if time permits,local producers to taste and learn how these local providores craft their goods.
Arrive in the Avon Valley in time to enjoy a gentle stroll through the picturesque bushland, see water rumble through the rapids after winter rain and enjoy rock pools in the warmer months. WA has a long wildflower season with blooms from late winter to early summer. Learn about bush tucker and look out for Kangaroos,small marsupials, native birds and reptiles.
Sunset and Star Gazing
As the sun dips below the horizon sit down and enjoy a BBQ dinner, in the cooler months a fire pit will keep you warm. We provide Astro Binoculars, Spotting scopes and Astro binoculars to study the night sky. Your guide will tell ancient stories of the night sky and point out neighbouring planets and zodiac constellations.
We provide dinner under the stars where you get to sample fresh produce from Margaret River and the Swan Valley including our famous Western Australian Wines. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.
Your tour guide has an extensive knowledge of the local wildlife and vegetations as well as some of the history of the areas we visit. They can show some of the plants traditionally used by the local Aborigines for food and medicine, as well as history or the custodians of the land and European explorers.
